Ragnarok is near and the Vikings of Midgard have failed to uphold their duty to prevent it. With time running out, the All-Father Odin himself, searches all the worlds for one last warrior who might hold back the destruction threatening Nine Realms and every world created.

Magnus’s death caught the All-Father’s one good eye.

As an Army Ranger, he knew he was placing himself in the line of fire every day, and knew a day could come that cost him his life. What he didn't want was the rest of his team would be wiped out with him, the worst disaster the Rangers had experienced in decades.

Summoned before the All-Father, Magnus is given the grave news and outcome for every realm including his own.

A deal was struck, a bargain made—Be reborn in Midgard, empower himself through mystical runes, and battle Odin's foes, in exchange for his team also getting a second lease on life if Magnus should succeed.

Waking up in a small farming village in Midgard, Magnus must now train and battle, both mundane foes and the creatures out of myths and legends, in both Midgard, and the rest of the Nine Realms.

    The characters were interesting and dynamic. They also show depth and growth which I enjoy. I like the rune system and found it interesting. I found the resurrection system interesting. The battles were exciting and well written, but sometimes constantly fighting trolls felt repetitive. I'm looking forward to the next realm and new challenges. I like Avitue but sometimes Mangus
    seems insecure about her and it's annoying.

    Really liked this book. It was exciting, didn’t explain too much or too little. It moved through time at a good pace. One error that stuck in my brain was the claim in the book that most families only had 1 or 2 children…just, no. That’s below replacement rate. All your Vikings will die off quickly then.
    Other than tiny errors like that, it was a solid read and I highly recommend

    Loved this book a 13 year old boy given the task to grow and save the nine realms blessed by Odin . Will he survive from a boy to a man fantastic characters can't wait for the next book.

    Pretty good book. Not sure if this is his 1st work or not. But if so very respectable. It’s a Viking light book. Has a Viking theme, but ur not inundated with a true Norse lifestyle. It does have a medieval setting tho which is to be expected. Still a good story. I’ll read the 2nd one.

    A very good read but slow at times good characters good plot , but as many authors have done leave you hanging until the next installment, as in cliffhanger, at this point authors become bored at their story line and don't continue it, lets hope this does not happen.

    I got that from one of my gamer kids. Not sure where he got it from but it seems to fit this stories review in my mind. Great story, world, characters, action, and a feeling that this is just the beginning of a great series! Let's Go!!!

    Fast paced good story, interesting reocurring characters and a lot of potential. Obviously everything is turning out very well and mc is gonna grow to be crazy op with time, but thats just what I love about this genre :D

    This has got to be one of the best books I’ve ever read and will probably ever read.

    I can’t wait for the next book. I mean that literally first thing I’m going to do is find the authors patreon (if he has one) and start paying for early chapters.

    Gostei muito do livro, o enredo é bem interessante. Espero que o próximo venha logo. Achei bem legal o modo como as runas são utilizadas na estória, de uma forma diferente de todos os livros que li até agora. Há uma inconsistência no parentesco de Odin e Loki, no começo ele é irmão de Odin, depois, já quase no final do livro passa a ser filho (conforme a mitologia nórdica), e uns parágrafos depois volta a ser irmão. Não compromete em nada a estória, mas é chato. Fui bem concisa para evitar spoilers. Recomendo para quem busca uma leitura leve e interessante.
