Nerubians' new hope
Reviewed at: A Nerubian's Journey - Epilogue
Read it between breaks at work on and off for a while. and it's the main reason I made the account because I wanted to say thank you so much for writing this.
Was really lost since I've never tried anything WoW related, but after some world building, I more or less got an idea, and was even looking up WoW lore videos on YouTube just to have a broader understanding. Goes to show I was really invested after grasping the lore a bit, and now that I finished it's truly bittersweet, will definitely give anything the author writes a chance.

Ever played WoW ? Check it out!

I found this on another site and the author is now posting it here, ill be reading it here from now on. But god dam, was a great fanfic... i love it. This could be an easy trending, if not for peoples fear of fanfics.
Ever wondered what reincarnation of an nerubian would look like? Me neither, but i love it so far!

The completed story review
Reviewed at: Chapter 88
Despite not being interested in Warcraft lore, I was understanding the story just well. It even piqued my interest in Warcraft lore. The character and story was great. I wish the story would have been taken more forward. Power levels dissected more thoroughly, but that's just my xianxia part going haywire. I respect the decision to end it here and its a satisfactory end. Now, I am even more interested in other novels by the author. Fyi author, I had kept myself from reading the last 7 chapters, but I saw it in the completed list of Royalroad. So, the site is helpful. The reason I am giving it a 4.5 is because of stories like The Wandering Inn that deserve 5.Thank you.

Amazing but not for everyone

Style: Awesome. Nothing really to fault unless you are nitpicking. Author does a good job to keep us updated on everything going on around the world instead of just the mc. Story flows well and everything mostly feels consistent. If I were to nitpick tho it would be I don't get a lot of the WoW references and I feel like I am missing out.
Story: As expected from the lore of a game that has lasted decades, it's unbelievably detailed and massive. MC is a diplomat first and foremost and a really good one at that. The narrative following the mc is sooo fun. Nice change of pace from the standard power fantasy.
Grammar: 10/10
Character: All the characters feel realistic, well, atleast as realistic as spider-people, dragons, walrus-people can get xD. Characters all have their own goals and act according to it. Especially the nerubian's and their entire society are 10/10.
FILLER
It's WoW fanfic but you don't have to play it before you read it, i didn't. MC isn't weak but isn't overpowered either. He is top 5% strongest within the characters we are introduced pretty fast. He got a pretty good power up near to the chapter I am at and is probably like top 0.5% strongest now. So yea even if you like power fantasies just try it. Can't recommend it enough. I don't guarantee that you will love it but you probably shouldn't hate it. This story is enjoyable to only those who find the lore and the character setting interesting, otherwise it's probably a pretty quick drop.

I liked this story a whole lot!

An exceptional story, I enjoyed it enough that once I made a RoyalRoad account, I went back and decided to write a review. I am not one for particularly verbose and wordy breakdowns of the story and so will simply cover the very basics in broad strokes.
Even for a complete novice of Warcraft Lore like myself, I found the story relatively easy to understand and important concepts were covered by the narrative without grinding into exposition dumps.
The characters and cultures that were not covered by pre-existing lore were even more enjoyably written than the canon characters, and peoples who never got a chance to shine in the limelight like Tuskarr (walrus people) basically get to be the stars of the show while they're present.
The overarching plot has interesting twists and turns and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and the protagonist keeps an excellent balance of being relevant to the plot without being simply a fountain of knowledge or a rocket launcher for other characters to use to blow problems away.
All in all, it's an excellent read, and my only suggestion is that the author write more stories starring non-humanoids, because they're clearly quite good at it.

Very Good

Fantastic. It is well-written and the plot keeps you moving and captivated. It can be heavy on the politics and names of a lot of different characters, but the story itself benefits from it. The range of casts makes it feel alive. You don't get a lot of character development from our protagonist. However it is a minor issue because the interactions keeps it feeling alive.

Captivating

Since I started this story I have been captivated by how smooth it is written and how it is unfolding, other than some minor mistakes with the names this story is really great.
You can really feel how the emotions of the main character are being portrayed.
The fact that it also isn't full of loredumps makes this story much easier to read.

Rekindled my love for a beautiful world
Reviewed at: Chapter 21
Everything about this story I loved. The main character is empathetic, relatable and has a true love for the world and he's willing to work hard enough to survive it without any kind of BS plot armour or freebies giving by the author.
The side characters and settings are actually great, the cast members have depth and clear motivations, the Azjol-nerub kingdom is intriguing and offers such world building potential, it's criminal blizzard never delved too deep in it...
Anyways, I made an account just to review this, thank you author for making my day!

Awesome journey of a story

This is a great story I never played or was interested in world of Warcraft but this story got me hooked into the lore I like the pov shift and I think making him a spider person was cool and unique great story doesn’t have the typical boring tropes of most reincarnation novels and doesn’t have “system” power is earned through hard work and time I highly recommend

Good read

My knowledge of WoW canon is practically non existent, haven't played since the original release of Wrath, but I still find the story a compelling read. Im generally not as harsh on fan-fics as long as the writing style is good which this one is. It is for the most part a smooth and interesting read.
