Best RR book ive read!
Reviewed at: We Need Your Help
The book is absolutely amazing. I’ve always enjoyed smithing novels, but this one takes the concept to a whole new level with its rich worldbuilding, engaging characters, and deep approach to crafting. The pacing is great, and each chapter leaves me wanting more. Thanks for sharing this story and keep up the excellent work!

The only good story

The only good isekai, it may be a personal issue but I don't like how crafting is often depicted in stories. This book is the first time where I've read a blacksmith protagonist and enjoyed the smiting as much as the fights. The Fights are really fun. The Side characters aren't my favorite thing in the world.

Good enough I reread it

5⭐️ from me, maybe I’d give it a 4.8 if I could. There are def other stories I like more but I can be kinda picky and easily turned off by the stuff usually found in rising stars - so far I’ve found nothing here to complain about.
I usually never reread litrpgs but I enjoyed this one enough to reread it when the new release dropped. MC has a lot of depth, and a backstory that matters full of realistic regrets and mistakes. Doesn’t start OP at all, and his only unique benefits from restarting feel fair to me. He doesn’t feel like he’s covered in plot armor - obviously he isn’t going to drop dead in the middle of a book but many of the risks taken and dangerous situations feel like they can have real lasting consequences.

Wonderful new series on bestuseller.com

This series is excellent. I look forward to each chapter. Each chapter has depth and complex character dilemmas and developments. The writing has the right amount of mystery and foreshadowing that makes you want to read on to what happens next. You can tell the author is being intentional and thoughtful, with a well planned out narrative arc up ahead.

Slow-Burn Epic as a Blacksmith
Reviewed at: 9 — Night of the Undead
Don't have a lot of time but writing the review for support ^^.
I read half the rewrite and then skipped a lot afterwards until latest chapter. I am not sure if anything critical changed, but what kinda stayed the same and what should be mentioned is that SR is a slow burn story - weak to strong. MC has all that future knowledge stuff going on I think but he could have shown off his strength and power upgrade sooner and quicker. So he is definitely starting very weak for a longer time.
I may just be a junky for those quick progression stories, but the first Volume (20 long chapters) is spent leveling until he gets his first class selection...
A central plot element seems to be his blacksmithing capabilities because there are some chapters that focus heavily on blacksmith-related stuff. I would tone that down a bit? Or make it sound more exciting from a Progression-Fantasy point of view. Or maybe foreshadow his knowledge, make his action explain things instead of the narrator or his inner-monologue explain stuff. I guess something like "Overgeared" would be on the complete opposite end of the spectrum ^^
Right now, if I had to describe the writing style it would be: Slow-Epic. Like in a slow build-up of a multiverse spanning novel (Omniscient Reader). But it doesn't move quick and is a bit heavy on the prose, for my taste
The story also focuses a lot on a secondary main-character or possible companion for MC, but it doesn't get paid off cause MC seems heavily jaded or antisocial or whatever. I feel that was wasteful, could have started building his own party with the first awesome member.
Why I still stick around for this story is the teased world-building and the place the MC has in this world. The apocalypse really destroyed everything and I hope the MC can change everything for the better during his second attempt.

Regression done right

The quality of second chance Regressor novels on this website has been shooting up lately, didn’t think that after Re-Birth there would be another nice one out so soon.
In hindsight this had to be good since the author literally has rewritten the story so it’s a second chance knowing what the future holds.
The main character feels real and 3 dimensional, his moral corundums add depth to the story without feeling superfluous. His disbelief, trauma, relief and despair invoked by having to live it all over again makes a cocktail of emotions as real as any which are usually the achilleas heel of other regressor novels. It’s deeply satisfying to see this done right.
The system feels thought out and largely devoid of loopholes. The nightmare feels less like a tutorial and more like a trail by fire. The MC seemed to had gone through survivors guilt in the past and now struggles to see the point of investing in anybody uncertain in surviving in the brutal trials. He’s giving his best shot though without compromising his own chances. It’s selfish but very real.
The story hits the right beats between mystery, litrpg and fantasy. The supporting cast hasn’t really had a chance to shine as we are still in the phase of exploring the MCs advantages.
So all in all good so far and I’ll be keeping an eye on this story in the near future. Try it if you find litrpg system and regressor themes entertaining.

Very worth the read so far.

System Reset: Forged in Nightmare is a commendable entry in the system apocalypse subgenre. While it may not break entirely new ground, it delivers a solid and engaging narrative that fans of the genre will find satisfying.
The writing style stands out as one of the book’s strongest aspects. Elessar44’s prose is fluid and immersive, providing a fulfilling reading experience that does not overreach or underwhelm. The language is clear, purposeful, and consistently supports the tone and pacing of the narrative. In this regard, the style earns a full 5 out of 5.
The story follows Alex, a protagonist who has been sent back to the beginning of a world-ending event, armed with the knowledge of a life already lived. This premise is a familiar but effective one. While the narrative shifts between Alex’s previous experiences and his current timeline can be disorienting at first, they become more coherent and well-paced as the book progresses. Overall, the story merits a 4.5 out of 5.
From a technical standpoint, the grammar is excellent. The writing is clean and free of distracting errors, allowing for an immersive experience that never pulls the reader out of the world. This aspect receives a perfect 5 out of 5.
In terms of character development, Alex is a well-crafted protagonist. His determination, strategic mindset, and specialized knowledge—particularly in smithing—make him both compelling and believable. The use of advanced terminology related to his craft adds depth and authenticity to his character.
In conclusion, System Reset: Forged in Nightmare is a strong, enjoyable read with high marks across all key elements. It may not revolutionize the genre, but it certainly stands as a worthy addition to it.

I like it

The prospect of a warrior/blacksmith hybrid class in a System Apocalypse scenario is highly intresting for me and made me reread the story. I hope for advanced exploration of the crafting aspect.
At this point of the story I like how the proagonist thinks and acts (even if he is a bit reckless imo). The promise of future side characters is also there but they are not really here yet.
Thanks to the author for writing this addicting story!

The revision of this was well anticipated, and it did not let me down. Well written characters now feel like they could very well exist. The depth to it is real conveying thoughts, feelings, and complex ideas in such a nuanced manner. Cannot wait to read more, and I know that with Krazekode helping it will he a fantastic story
