Cookies and storage
FlickerTale sets no cookies. Here is every item it keeps in your browser’s own storage, what each is for, and how long it stays.
No cookies
flickertale.com sets no cookies, loads nothing from advertisers or analytics companies, and has no consent banner because it has nothing to ask your consent for.
What your browser keeps
A few small items are kept in your browser’s own storage, on your device. Each one is strictly necessary for something you asked for, such as getting back into your seat after a reload. Two of them go back to our server: your seat’s key and the big screen’s keys, sent when a screen connects, so it can give you your seat, or the big screen its table, again. None is sent to anyone else, and none says who you are.
Local storage stays until you clear it. Session storage is forgotten when you close the tab. <CODE> stands for a room’s five-letter code.

A room’s items are no use once the room has ended, two hours after its last move; they stay in your browser until you clear them.
The note form
The note form can be protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from scripts. When it is switched on, it runs only on that form, and [Owner: what Turnstile keeps in the browser, from Cloudflare’s documentation].
Clearing it all
In your browser’s settings, find the site data for flickertale.com and clear it. Nothing breaks: next time, you type your name again, and a game in progress treats you as a newcomer.
